Personal and Professional Background
Born and raised in Abbotsford, Eric is proud to be practicing law in his hometown. After graduating from Abbotsford Senior Secondary in 1998, Eric pursued honours and Master’s degrees in Canadian History at Simon Fraser University before attending law school at the University of British Columbia, where he graduated in 2009.

While in law school, Eric was on the board of directors of the UBC Law Review, the faculty’s student-run academic journal.  He received the McCarthy Tetrault Prize for achieving the highest standing in Property Law.

Before joining Valley Law Group as an articled student in 2009, Eric spent a summer gaining invaluable experience working for a large downtown Vancouver firm.  He has previously volunteered with Big Brothers, and looks forward to bringing a spirit of community involvement to the establishment of his practice in the Fraser Valley.

Eric has successfully represented clients at the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

In his spare time, Eric is a recreational hockey goaltender, volunteering his services making local hockey players feel better about their skills.  He also enjoys playing golf, tennis, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
