Personal and Professional Background
Stephen grew up in the Fraser Valley. He studied for 2 years at the University of the Fraser Valley before deciding to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he graduated with First Class Honours in 2005. While at Dalhousie, Stephen focused his studies on comparative politics.
Stephen studied law at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. As a law student, Stephen was a volunteer with Student Legal Services of Edmonton and Pro Bono Students Canada. Stephen was awarded his law degree in the spring of 2009.
After completing his articles at a civil litigation law firm in Edmonton in 2010, Stephen was admitted to the Alberta bar in July of 2010. He was admitted to the British Columbia bar in August of 2010.
In his spare time, Stephen enjoys travelling, being outdoors, following politics, and reading about history.
